 Blast Furnace Cement: CEM III/A 32.5 N

 Description

Portland blast - furnace slag cement is a blend of Portland Cement and finely ground granulated blast - furnace slag in which the slag portion is between 35% and 64% of the mass of the total Portland Cement clinker and granulated blast - furnace slag in the cement mills.

 Standard Specification

It is produced according to the Egyptian standards ES 4756/1-2007 which complies with the European specifications EN 197/1-2000.

 Chemical Properties

 Practical Main Application

Applied in all construction works such as harbor quays & ports which are exposed to chemical effects and has a massive concrete construction. This type of cement is resistant for salts and has low heat of hydration during setting.

 Storing

• Cement bags should be stored in a dry place and kept away from a humid environment.
• Bags are stacked over wooden palettes.
• Cement bags should be covered in case of humid & rainy weathers.
• Don’t stuff more than 8 bags over each other.

 Validity

• 6 weeks from the packing date, provided that it’s properly stored as previously mentioned instructions.
• Cement should be re-tested before use after this period.
